Thomas Dambo is a recycle artist / activist from Denmark who creates giant sculptures and interactive art installations, all from trash / recycled materials, which he scavenges in the local dumpsters and through partnerships with local industry. With his work Thomas Dambo wish to create awareness of all the worlds waste, and to inspire people to see the potential in using the world’s trash as a ressource to build something fun and useful instead of sending it to the dumpsites.
Thomas Dambos contribution to MS Artville 2016 is a big sculpture made from local recycled wood such as pallets and leftovers from construction sites. The sculpture will be in shape of a troll like creature. It will be build around a 7 meters tall tree in the festival area, which will act as the hair of the sculpture.
